Shady Nook Lake Retreat is a uniquely spacious, executive style built vacation rental. Nestled on the shores of Pickerel Lake, come stay and play at this amazing vacation rental. With nine bedrooms and accommodations that sleep 30, you can bring the entire family and stay in one place. With two acres along the waterfront to stretch out on, you can enjoy kayaks, fishing from the dock and relaxing by the water. Or in winter, choose some ice hockey or fishing on the lake.

This home is amazing! There is so much space and it is beautifully kept. Many rentals do not have enough dishware or cooking supplies to feed the number of people they hold but this home goes above and beyond on the kitchen supplies. Our family enjoyed all the games and space to relax as well. We stayed during the cold season so did not get outside to enjoy the property but the area is peaceful and quiet. The owners were very helpful when we accidentally locked ourselves out of rooms, and check in/check out was very easy.

This space worked fabulous for our event. The large room in basement worked perfect for our meeting. Bedrooms with en suites were comfortable and provided privacy and made the stay comfortable for a large group. Will be back!

My friends and I can’t say enough great things about The Shady Nook! First of all, Pam gave such great & clear info prior to arrival regarding amenities to house & check in process! She answered any question I had during the stay within 10 minutes & was overall incredibly accommodating! The house & view were BEAUTIFUL! We couldn’t believe how spacious it was & how many bathrooms it had! (That is KEY when you put 25 girls together for a weekend). The hangout spots were perfect & the bedrooms were tucked far enough away that when some guests wanted to go to sleep early they couldn’t even hear the rest of the group! (Again hard to accomplish with a group of girls that big haha).. 10/10 recommend the shady nook for your large group stay!

We had a wedding this weekend. The house was more than we expected. There was plenty of room for us with bedrooms and bathrooms spread apart so none of us felt crowded. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Everything was clearly marked so we didn’t have to guess at anything. There was also lots for the younger kids and adults alike to do. The lake is beautiful. Perfect spot and will rent again.

We all had a great week stay. Loved the house and do much to do. Even when it rained we found activities we could do in the garage with our large group. Beach area is amazing. Well furnished only need to bring food and beach towels. We were all sad to leave, but planning to come back!

We couldn't be happier with our entire experience. A great house, well supplied, cozy, family friendly...worked for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest.
